It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle, 59, a retired professor from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, who tragically lost her life while walking her dog at Kiesel Park.
Dr. Schnuelle dedicated her life to veterinary medicine, serving as a faculty member in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Large Animal/Food Animal section, from 2003 until her retirement in 2021 as professor emerita. She was deeply respected by colleagues, students, and the Auburn community for her expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her students and animals alike.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Julie was cherished by family, friends, and all who knew her for her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. She brought joy, encouragement, and wisdom to everyone around her, leaving a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
Though her life ended far too soon, Dr. Schnuelle’s legacy of knowledge, dedication, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she inspired. May her memory bring comfort to her loved ones, and may her soul rest in peace.
Forever loved, never forgotten.
