It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Selenta James, 49, of Metairie, Louisiana. Selenta tragically lost her life on Saturday, Sept. 13, following a car crash in Jefferson Parish.
According to authorities, Selenta was driving her 2022 Nissan Murano on the Causeway Boulevard exit from I-10 west when she experienced a medical emergency. While efforts were made to assist her, her vehicle struck a concrete support pillar of the Causeway Boulevard overpass. She was unrestrained at the time and sustained fatal injuries.
Selenta will be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of her family, friends, and community. Her presence will be dearly missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
