It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of James Gabbard, 49, of Hazel Green, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on the Mountain Parkway in Powell County on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
James will be remembered as a kind and hardworking man whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him. His sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community who now mourn the loss of a life taken far too soon.
Though gone, James’s memory will continue to live on through the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the bonds he built with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace.
