With heavy hearts, we remember James F. Ratliff, 71, who tragically passed away on Tuesday evening, September 16, 2025, following a single-vehicle accident on Riverside Drive (Route 460) in Buchanan County, Virginia.
According to Virginia State Police, James was traveling eastbound in a 2006 Chevy HHR when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned. He was ejected from the vehicle and sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
James was more than the details of this tragic moment. He was a son, a friend, a neighbor, and someone who touched the lives of those around him. His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
