Kaleilah Davis – Multiple Arrested, Including Two 15-Year-Olds, in Bay Ave. Murder

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Authorities have made multiple arrests, including two 15-year-olds, in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Kaleilah Davis, who was shot and killed on Bay Avenue just after 11 p.m. on September 5, 2025.

Davis was in a vehicle with several other young girls when gunfire erupted near the popular downtown stretch, directly across from BANKS Food Hall and the 11th and Bay restaurant. She tragically lost her life in the attack, sparking an intense multi-agency investigation.

Following coordinated efforts by the Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, Fugitive Unit, Real Time Crime Center, and the Phenix City Police Department, five suspects have been taken into custody:

  • Lafabien Anderson, 16 – arrested September 11. His case has been bound over to Superior Court with no bond.
  • Kacin Grant, 21 – arrested September 17; charged with Murder, five counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. He awaits extradition from Alabama.
  • Ty’Ron Cherry, 15 – arrested September 17; charged with Murder (SB 440), five counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm Under 18.
  • Lamarcus Williams, 18 – arrested September 17; charged with Murder, five counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
  • Noah Toney, 15 – arrested September 17; charged with Murder (SB 440), five counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm Under 18.

The Columbus Police Department confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, and additional details could emerge as detectives work to piece together the events that led to Davis’s death.
