Killeen Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 14

KILLEEN, Texas (Sept. 18, 2025) — Killeen Police are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist early Thursday morning on Interstate 14.

Around 4:17 a.m., officers and firefighters were dispatched to the westbound lanes of I-14 at the Trimmier overpass for reports of a collision. When they arrived, they found that a motorcycle had been struck by a passenger car. The 28-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Coleman at 6:32 a.m.

Preliminary findings from the KPD Traffic Unit indicate that a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling westbound when it was rear-ended by a blue 2014 Honda sedan. Witnesses told investigators that the Honda was speeding when it overtook and struck the motorcycle. Police said the Honda was being driven by a juvenile male.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash forced the closure of I-14 in the area as police continued their investigation. Officials urged drivers to remain patient and seek alternate routes.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
