In Loving Memory of Deputy Kylee Johnson

It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the sudden and tragic passing of Deputy Kylee Johnson a 22-year-old corrections deputy with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. Kylee passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, while off duty.

Paramedics were called to the 4000 block of Taylor Avenue in Santa Rosa around 6:50 p.m., where Kylee was found with fatal injuries. Although initial reports suggest she may have fallen from a horse, the exact cause of death remains under investigation pending an autopsy. Authorities are still working to determine whether a fall or a medical event led to this devastating loss.

In a powerful and emotional display of respect, law enforcement agencies across Sonoma County came together to honor Kylee. With lights and sirens, they escorted her body in a solemn procession to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office a tribute to her service and dedication.
