The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 444 and Acosta Lane. According to Louisiana State Police, Sarah was driving eastbound when her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound tow truck. Though she was wearing her seatbelt, Sarah died at the scene from her injuries. The driver of the other vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
