Dashauna Egerson – 17-Year-Old Charged in Deadly 35th and Vliet Pursuit Crash

MILWAUKEE — Authorities have charged 17-year-old Dashauna Egerson in connection with a police pursuit crash on Tuesday, September 16, that resulted in the deaths of three people. This marks the second person charged in connection with the deadly incident.

According to a criminal complaint, Egerson initially told officers that 19-year-old Trevon Loston was driving the stolen SUV involved in the pursuit. However, body camera footage captured her outbursts at the scene, including statements such as, “Who did I hit?” and “Who the f*** did I hit?” After reviewing the footage, Egerson admitted that she was the driver both when fleeing police and at the time of the crash.

Loston, a Milwaukee resident and passenger in the SUV, faces charges including possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent, bail jumping, and operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Egerson has been charged with vehicle operator flee/elude officer causing death, second-degree reckless homicide, and knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. Court records indicate she is expected to make her initial appearance on Sunday.

The investigation into the deadly pursuit crash is ongoing, and authorities continue to urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
