It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcus Dangerfield, 20, of Dover, Delaware, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, September 20, 2025, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
At approximately 11:20 p.m., Marcus was involved in a fatal crash on U.S. Route 301 at Hayden Clark Road in Centreville, Maryland. While attempting to cross Route 301, an SUV driven by a 45-year-old man collided with Marcus’s motorcycle. Despite the efforts of first responders, Marcus sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Marcus was a vibrant young man, full of promise, with a zest for life that touched everyone who knew him. He was known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends. His passing leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of his loved ones.
The driver of the SUV and a passenger were also injured in the crash and were transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, with a focus on potential contributing factors such as speed and visibility.
