It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of 21-year-old Ronnie Gamble III, of Telegraph Road, Peru, New York, following a motorcycle accident in downtown Plattsburgh on September 19, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Ronnie was traveling west on his 2006 Honda motorcycle when it collided with the side of a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north through the intersection. He was transported to the University of Vermont Health Network CVPH, where he was pronounced deceased after life-saving efforts were unsuccessful. The driver of the pickup truck, a 27-year-old male, was not injured and fully cooperated with police.
City police secured the scene and worked alongside the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit as the investigation continues. The cause of the crash remains under review.
