In Loving Memory of Justin Mattingly

With deep sorrow, we remember the life of Justin Mattingly, age 36, who tragically lost his life on the night of September 21, 2025, following a fatal shooting in a gas station parking lot in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. at the QuikTrip located at 220 N. Gilcrease Museum Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Justin suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, he passed away from his injuries just minutes later.

According to authorities, the shooting followed an altercation that began inside the store and escalated outside in the parking lot. The case remains under investigation, with final decisions pending review by the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office.

But beyond the headlines and the unfolding legal process, Justin Mattingly was a human being—a man who lived, loved, and was loved in return. He was known for his passion for motorcycles, his loyalty to friends, and the energy he brought into the lives of those around him. To his family, he was a son, perhaps a brother, or a father. To his friends, he was someone they could count on.

His life, like all lives, was made of moments—of joy, of mistakes, of learning, of laughter. He was more than the way he died; he was the sum of his experiences, the bonds he formed, and the people who now feel his loss deeply.

As the investigation moves forward, we ask that Justin be remembered with compassion and humanity. May his family and loved ones find peace in this time of overwhelming grief and strength in the memories they carry forward.

Rest in peace, Justin. You are gone too soon, but your life will not be forgotten.
