It is with heavy hearts that we remember the life of Myles Belyue, a 22-year-old young man from Columbus, Georgia, whose life ended tragically on the morning of September 22, 2025.
Myles was more than a moment in the news—he was a son, a friend, and a life full of potential and untold stories. Like so many, he carried both light and struggle, and his loss is a sobering reminder of how silent battles can become overwhelming.
In the early hours of that Monday morning, an incident occurred outside the Amazon Fulfillment Center on Osceola Court. Though the event shook the community, it ended without injuries to others. Tragically, Myles died by suicide shortly after police responded. He was pronounced deceased at 6:45 A.M. by the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office.
While we may never fully understand what led to that moment, we must choose to remember Myles with compassion—not for the way his life ended, but for who he was. His story, like all human stories, is layered and complex. No one should be defined by their darkest hour.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family, friends, and all those who are grieving. We also extend care to the employees, first responders, and community members affected by this tragedy.
May Myles find in death the peace he struggled to find in life. And may we, as a community, commit ourselves to being more aware of the pain others may carry—often silently. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. You are not alone. Help is available.
Rest in peace, Myles. You will not be forgotten.
