With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Rauri Ligon, 23, who tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle crash on September 22, 2025, in Troup County, Georgia.
The accident occurred at approximately 1:33 a.m. on the 2400 block of West Point Road when Rauri’s vehicle, a red 2017 Honda Accord, veered off the roadway, striking two power poles before coming to rest in a creek. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, Rauri was pronounced deceased at 2:28 a.m. by the Troup County Coroner’s Office, according to Coroner Erin Hackley.
Rauri was a vibrant young woman whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and joy to those who knew her. Her family, friends, and community remember her for her bright spirit, her generosity, and her devotion to the people she loved. Though her life was tragically cut short, the memories of her laughter, compassion, and the impact she made on others will live on.
The Troup County community grieves deeply alongside her family, honoring a life full of love and promise. May Rauri Ligon rest in eternal peace, and may those who loved her find comfort in the cherished memories she leaves behind.
