With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert Fleeks, a 26-year-old son, brother, and friend who tragically lost his life on the evening of Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Seattle, Washington.
Robert was shot and killed while sitting in his vehicle near the intersection of 10th and Pike around 9:30 PM. According to the King County Medical Examiner, he suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities arrived at the scene to find three shell casings near his SUV, marking the end of a young life lost far too soon. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
While Robert’s past was not without its challenges, his life cannot be summed up by any single moment or mistake. In 2021, a previous conviction related to an earlier incident was overturned—reminding us that every story has more than one chapter. Robert, like many, was navigating a complex world, trying to find his way, and striving for a better future.
To those who knew him best, Robert was more than headlines or court records. He was someone’s family. He laughed, he loved, and he mattered. His loss leaves a silence that words cannot fill and a grief that runs deep for those who held him close.
We honor Robert not for the way he died, but for the life he lived—the real person behind the name. May we remember him with empathy, not judgment, and may his memory inspire us to look deeper into the hearts and lives of others.
Our thoughts are with Robert’s loved ones as they mourn his passing and seek healing in the wake of this senseless violence. May you find peace, Robert. You are gone too soon, but never forgotten.
