With profound sadness, we share the tragic passing of Romi Jolee Bomar, 18, of Gatesville, Texas, who passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, following a tragic accident on State Highway 36 in western Bell County.
Romi was driving her 2014 Jeep eastbound on SH-36 when she lost control navigating a curve on rain-slick roads. Her vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Ford F-350 pickup. Both drivers were transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with severe injuries. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Romi succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Romi’s untimely passing leaves her family, friends, and community heartbroken. Known for her bright smile, kind soul, and gentle spirit, she brought joy to everyone around her. She was a young woman full of promise, remembered for her compassion, determination, and the love she showed to those closest to her.
Though her life ended far too soon, Romi’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be forever cherished, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
