It is with deep sorrow that we honor the life of Summer Martelli, 65, of Marquez, Texas, who tragically lost her life in a vehicle accident on Monday, September 22, 2025. Summer was driving northbound on FM 39 in a 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage when her vehicle veered into the southbound lanes and sideswiped a dump truck. The impact caused her car to leave the roadway and roll several times into a ditch, where she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Summer was a devoted mother of one and a proud grandmother of three. She had an extraordinary love for animals, often taking in stray pets and giving them a warm, loving home. Growing up on a ranch with a father who was a well-renowned horse trainer, she developed a lifelong passion for horses and all creatures, dedicating her life to caring for them.
Her kindness, generosity, and love for family and animals touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Summer’s legacy of compassion and devotion will live on in the countless lives she impacted.
Her family invites those who knew her to remember her joyful spirit and the warmth she shared with the world.
