14-year-old Zuza Beine, a young Instagram influencer known for sharing her cancer journey with remarkable honesty, has died after years of treatment, her family confirmed Monday morning.

Zuza was first diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) at the age of three. Over the following 11 years, she bravely faced countless treatments, using social media to document her experience. Her Instagram account, @zuzas_way_to_healing, garnered over 1.8 million followers who followed her updates on treatment, pain, and the small joys she cherished despite her illness.

Her family announced the devastating news in a statement:

“It is with broken hearts that we share that Zuza died yesterday morning. She lived 11 of her 14 years with a relentless cancer, yet lived more fully and gratefully than most. Her being changed us forever, and her dying will too.”

Zuza gained recognition for her “get ready with me” videos, blending everyday teenage life with candid reflections on living with cancer. Her posts inspired countless followers, many commenting on her courage and resilience.

In her final days, she spoke openly about the intense pain she endured, posting messages such as,

“I’m constantly on pain medicine because my body hurts so, so, so bad,” and “I can barely walk right now, I’m in so much pain.”
