Allison Lowery – Warrick County, IN Obituary

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. – The Warrick County community is mourning the tragic loss of 12-year-old Allison Lowery, a student at Castle South Middle School, who was fatally struck by a semi-truck while riding her bicycle on Tuesday evening, September 23, 2025.

The Warrick County Coroner’s Office confirmed Allison’s identity, sending waves of grief through family, friends, classmates, and neighbors. The accident occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Indiana 66 and Sharon Road. Allison was crossing the intersection on her bicycle when a westbound semi-truck, unable to stop in time, struck her. Despite the driver’s efforts to brake and swerve, Allison was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities, including the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, reviewing traffic light timing, vehicle speed, and witness accounts. An autopsy is scheduled to provide further details.
