It is with shared passing and deep sadness that the community of Covesville mourns the loss of Dennis Miller, 77, and Frances Hooper-Miller, 76, who were found deceased in their home on Windward Cove Road on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
The Albemarle County Police Department responded to a welfare check at the residence and discovered the couple inside, both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Dennis and Frances were remembered by friends and neighbors as a loving couple, devoted to one another and their community. Their loss is being deeply felt by all who knew them.
Police are actively investigating the incident but have stated they believe this to be isolated and that there is no further threat to the public.
