Montgomery County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of 52-year-old Ganga Prajapati of New Carrollton. The incident occurred on Veirs Mill Road near Ennalls Avenue on September 23 at approximately 7:27 p.m.
Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) report that Prajapati was struck by a silver 2009–2012 Audi A4 or S4 traveling eastbound. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities believe the vehicle involved sustained damage to the windshield, right front fog light assembly, and possibly the left front headlight assembly, with the headlight hanging and the passenger-side fog light missing.
