PINE BLUFF, Ark. — A 29-year-old man has died following a late-night shooting in southern Pine Bluff on Tuesday, and police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect connected to the case.
The victim, identified as Jimmie Epperson, was pronounced dead at 615 S. Missouri St. by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Teddy Spivey, according to police. Officers responded to the scene around 9:05 p.m., where they found Epperson lying on the ground, unresponsive, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities have named Thomaz Johnson, 25, as the suspect wanted in connection with the homicide. Johnson is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with his last known address in the 2300 block of Belair Drive.
Pine Bluff Police urge anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts to contact the department’s Detective Division at (870) 730-2090, the tip line at (870) 730-2106, or the dispatch center at (870) 541-5300.
This incident marks the 11th homicide in Pine Bluff this year, highlighting the continued concerns over gun violence in the community.
