SAN ANTONIO — It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of 22-year-old Jakayvin Jones, who was fatally shot Wednesday night at the Pecan Valley Golf Club Apartments on the Southeast Side. Jones, a young man known to friends and family for his vibrant spirit, was discovered between parked vehicles near East Southcross Boulevard and Pecan Valley Drive after an initial report of gunfire.
Authorities say Jones had been shot multiple times. Despite the quick response from San Antonio Police, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity.
Jones’ untimely death has left a community in shock and mourning. Friends, neighbors, and loved ones remember him as a bright and caring individual whose life was tragically cut short.
