Charles “Chuck” Hoffman Obituary – Firefighter Remembered for Service and Spirit

The Goodwill Fire Co. #1 of York Township has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Charles “Chuck” Hoffman, a dedicated firefighter remembered for his service, integrity, and uplifting spirit.

Chuck joined the fire company in 2020 as a live-in firefighter, quickly making his mark through hard work, commitment, and a genuine passion for serving others. For three years, he answered calls, trained tirelessly, and gave selflessly to his community. Even after moving to Delaware with his wife, Aimee, and their 20-month-old son, CJ, Chuck continued to return and proudly serve with Goodwill Fire Co., proving that firefighting was not just a role—it was part of who he was.

Known affectionately as “Neighbor,” Chuck was celebrated not only for his dedication on the job but also for his unforgettable personality. He brought laughter and warmth wherever he went, easing tensions with humor and uplifting those around him. To his fellow firefighters, he was more than a colleague—he was family, a trusted leader, and a cherished friend.

Above all, Chuck’s greatest pride was his family. His devotion to Aimee and CJ was unwavering, and his joy in fatherhood was evident to everyone who knew him.

As Goodwill Fire Co. shared in their farewell: “Chuck was loved by many and hated by none. RIP ‘Neighbor,’ our pipe man forever.” His legacy of service, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, his firefighting brothers and sisters, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
