In Loving Memory of Cynthia L. Diggs

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Cynthia L. Diggs, 65, of Maidens, Virginia, who lost her life in a devastating vehicle crash on the evening of Saturday, September 20, in Goochland County.

At approximately 10:42 p.m., Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 288 southbound near Tuckahoe Creek Parkway. Preliminary investigations reveal that a northbound vehicle crossed the grass median and struck Cynthia’s vehicle head-on. Cynthia died at the scene.

A devoted friend, family member, and member of her community, Cynthia was known for her warm heart, unwavering kindness, and vibrant spirit. Her presence brought comfort and light to everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A passenger in her vehicle, as well as the occupants of the other car, were transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment. The crash, which caused major delays and road closures throughout the night, remains under investigation.

As we mourn this sudden and heartbreaking loss, we remember Cynthia not for how she left us, but for the joy, love, and strength she shared throughout her life. May her memory be a blessing and her legacy live on in the lives she touched.
