With heartfelt sadness, we share the passing of David Charles Walker, a beloved 21-year-old son, friend, and member of the Greenwood community, who tragically lost his life following a motorcycle accident on Sunday night, September 21, 2025.
David was involved in a collision while riding west on Bypass 72 NW near the intersection of Towers Drive. He was transported to the hospital, where despite the best efforts of medical professionals he passed away on the morning of Monday, September 22. The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office has ruled his death as accidental.
David was a young man full of life, energy, and dreams. His passion for motorcycles was one of the many ways he expressed his love for freedom, movement, and living life to the fullest. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
In his 21 short years, David left a lasting impression on those around him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and the way he could light up a room without saying a word. He was adventurous, loyal, and always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
As we mourn this sudden and tragic loss, we also celebrate the life David lived—a life that, though brief, was meaningful and full of love. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May you find strength in one another and peace in the memories you shared with him.
