In Loving Memory of Heaven Glison

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we remember the life of Heaven Glison, a 24-year-old woman whose life was tragically taken far too soon in a senseless act of violence in Independence, Kentucky.

Heaven was found in the early morning hours of Monday, September 22, 2025, in a wooded area near her home at Taylor Ridge Apartments. Authorities have confirmed that she was the victim of a murder-suicide that also left another individual critically injured and shook the local community.

While investigators continue to piece together the events surrounding that heartbreaking night, we pause to focus on what matters most: the life that Heaven lived, the joy she brought to others, and the profound loss felt by those who knew and loved her.

Heaven was a daughter, a friend, and a soul full of light. Her name matched her spirit—gentle, kind, and caring. She was known for her laughter, her warmth, and the way she lit up the lives of those around her. To those who knew her best, she was a steady presence in a chaotic world, someone who could be counted on for love, compassion, and loyalty.

Her passing is a devastating reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly it can be taken. It is also a call for us all to hold our loved ones closer, speak our love more often, and be vigilant in supporting one another through life’s darkest moments.

We grieve for the future she deserved, for the moments that will never come, and for the hole left in the hearts of those she leaves behind. And while her life was cut short by violence that can never be justified, her memory will live on in the stories, the love, and the strength of the people she touched.

Rest in peace, Heaven. Your light was taken too soon, but it will never be extinguished.
