It is with deep sorrow that we remember the life of Jaquarious Fenn, a 23-year-old son, friend, and cherished member of the Killeen community, whose life was tragically taken far too soon in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Jaquarious was fatally shot inside his home on Laura Drive around 1:42 a.m. When first responders arrived, they found him critically injured. Despite valiant life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at 4:40 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson. His passing has left his family, friends, and community heartbroken.
Authorities confirmed that Jaquarious had been with the suspect inside his home at the time of the incident. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. While the Killeen Police Department continues its active investigation, they have noted that this appears to be an isolated incident.
But Jaquarious is not defined by the way he died. He is remembered for the life he lived, the smiles he shared, and the kindness he gave. Friends recall his warm, quiet confidence, and a presence that could light up a room without needing to say a word. He was thoughtful, respectful, and had dreams he was working hard to turn into reality.
Whether you knew him as a neighbor, a classmate, a coworker, or a friend—Jaquarious left an imprint. His laughter, loyalty, and spirit will never be forgotten.
As his loved ones grieve, they also celebrate the moments and memories that made him who he was. A young life ended too soon, but one that touched many and will continue to inspire those left behind.
