It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of Xzaiver Alday, an 18-year-old from Beaumont, Texas. Xzaiver tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle head-on collision on the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge in Port Arthur on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Xzaiver, a young man with so much potential and a bright future ahead of him, was confirmed dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 82, which connects Port Arthur to Pleasure Island. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire community.
The collision, which occurred on the bridge, forced authorities to shut down the bridge for several hours as crews worked tirelessly to clear the wreckage and investigate the incident. Xzaiver was the sole occupant of his vehicle, and the other driver involved in the crash was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This heartbreaking tragedy has left everyone who knew Xzaiver in mourning, but we hold on to the memories of his life, his spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him. While the investigation is still ongoing, we remain focused on supporting his family during this incredibly difficult time.
As we continue to process this loss, our thoughts and prayers are with Xzaiver’s loved ones. We ask that the community come together to offer their support in any way they can, whether through prayers, kind words, or acts of compassion.
Xzaiver’s life, though far too short, will not be forgotten. He will be remembered for the love he shared, the friendships he built, and the positive impact he had on those around him.
