It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Nerissa Lee, beloved assistant principal at Lincoln Middle School in Berwyn, Illinois.
Nerissa was more than an educator she was a mentor, a leader, and a constant source of encouragement to the students and staff she served. Her dedication to education went far beyond academics; she poured her heart into guiding young people, building their confidence, and helping them see their full potential.
Colleagues remember her as a compassionate and steady presence in the school hallways, someone who always greeted others with a smile and an open heart. To her students, she was a role model, an advocate, and someone who believed in them even on their hardest days.
Her loss is felt deeply by the entire Lincoln Middle School family and the wider Berwyn community. Though her time with us was cut tragically short, Nerissa’s impact will live on in the lives she touched and the lessons she shared.
May her memory be a blessing, and may her spirit of kindness, leadership, and love for learning continue to inspire all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Nerissa. You will never be forgotten.
